uk cost of living -please advise uk country people

i got an offer for mechanical engineer post basic =5500 +2000 allowance ( inclusive tax).

this is enough for survive with family( wife +one child) in uk.
location of job= mancheseter,london, UK.

kindly advice for me please. about the salary offer.
