Pension for DXB expat in pipeline Will Qatar
The Department of Economic Development in Dubai (DED) has announced plans to launch a pension scheme for foreign workers by the end of the year.
The pension fund will include both private and public sector foreign workers. The scheme will make Dubai the first emirate to offer a pension fund to expats, who don’t pay income tax.
Ali Ibrahim, deputy director general for planning and development at DED, said: “We have finished the feasibility study for the project and DED are now consulting with local and federal parties…we are also coordinating with some parties in other emirates and are planning to hold workshops on the project.”
“You can say the project is nearly ready…once we complete negotiations with other departments, we will seek government approval so the project can be launched by the end of the year,” Al Bayan newspaper quoted Ali Ibrahim as saying.

UAE administration really deserves accolades for many innovations. When the traffic police always look for the violators of the law, UAE police patrol look for those drive safe respecting all the laws and rewards them with a certificate " Road star" and 1000 Dhs cash award. Kudoes..
