Rejected money.

Somebody gave me a Hundred Qatar Riyal note, without checking it I kept it my wallet. When I went shopping and was paying for the goods bought, the cashier refused to take it saying its not good. The banks have also refused it too.
Telling the lady who gave it to me, she denied giving me that note saying she had been given by somebody and later she said she had withdrew it from her ATM and really said nasty things to me. Is there a place I can report this matter so that she verify that she had withdrawn the note? Is it right right if I report the matter to the police?
I think she has played a trick on me.
Please advise. Thanks.

As far as I know, it is required under the law that counterfeit notes be reported and turned over to the police. I'm surprised the bank didn't report it.

What do you mean by a bad note? Why did the bank reject it? Did you ask them? Is it a fake note or an old damaged note? If you are sure it is an original note then go to Central Bank and they will replace it for you. If it is a fake counterfeit then be careful as it is illegal to possess it. Report it to the Police and be ready to explain who gave it to you. There will be lot of questions which you should be ready to answer.

I got confused with your story, you said that the lady who gave it to you the 100 riyals denied that she gave it to you but she said also that it was given by somebody and later said she had withdrew it from her atm. based from your story, you dont have a proof that it was really given to you by that lady because she denied it and at the same time you did not mention why that lady will give you a 100 riyals at the same time you did not ask yourself why she gave you 100 riyals and you keep it without thinking. if you will report that to the police, police will investigate you that you have a counterfeit money in you hand. be open about that...

Did the bank tell you why they will not accept the note?

If it is an immitation, the Police will certainly want to know about it

I don't think Police would even take this Matter in to Consideration...

Why, Because You don't have Any Witness to Verify your Claims, & the Lady Who Gave you the 100 QAR Note has Refused to even gave it to you....

Take your chance and go to the Capital Police, and see what do they advice you!!!
