i heard that this is a special case and needs aproval from the ministry.i heard that this will add up two weeks on the processing.
i have been offered 16,500 basic salary
1000 transportation
and accomodation
i would like to bring my husband with me ang my 2 kids

2. do i need attestation for their certificates? can i get the attestation here in philippines?is it the same with the red ribbon?please help
3. my children will also go to school. what will be their documents?
I am against it. What I did suggest to the OP is a legitimate suggestion, and remember we are talking of a HUSBAND not anyone else buying a WV anywhere as what is illegal but rampant here. Don't lecture me please! Go back to all my previous posts regarding this visa matters.
where is the moderator???????????Cant he/she see two people(namely Qatarisun and floor 1212)quarrelling in this forum??????????????????? MY first profile in QL was deleted/blocked by the moderator on the charges of repeated questions or questions of same kind.I think i should ask or repeat questions until i get a correct answer. This moderator doesnot know that nobody responds to old posts.so we have to repeat posts.
flor.. again.. of course, issuing a work visa to the person who is not working for the company IS incompliance. I don't say nobody does it. Unfortunately they do.
and hey, I am not perfect, nobody is..
But to advertize illegal stuff on the open forum is obviously inappropriate.
Ms OPERATIONS MANAGER!
understand the visa thing. Did I say the husband will not work for the company?
I have a woman colleague working as QS in our company longer than I am. The time comes she wants her husband to come to Doha and she wanted to sponsor him but she is not entitled. Since she is a very important employee (because of her assignment), our company agreed to sponsor her husband and gave him a working visa. Is there an illegal thing there?
And stop insulting me, I have not done anything wrong against you (whatever your profession is?). Are you PERFECT?
for the Company to sponsor a person means to issue for him a Work visa. Work visa cannot be issued for any other purpose, rather than WORK. Another thing if the Company hired her husband, than yes. Person sponsored by the company has to be employed by and work for this (and only this) company.
"A visa.. is a document issued by a country giving a certain individual permission to formally request entrance to the country during a given period of time and for certain purposes ". (wikipedia)
In other words, visa is expressed permission to reside in the country for a finite period of time, which is contingent on a purpose for the residence – examples of purpose are Work, tourism, family, study, etc.
An appropriate visa type is required for any purpose of visit!
Trying to penetrate to the country using the visa which is different from its original purpose is illegal.
Too bad, a Sr. Civil Engineer (PM) doesn't understand it. If at your office you handle all legal issues in the same manner (i.e. with absolutely no any clue + no any sensible understanding).. well.. too bad..
when I did not even say it's relevant. Are you an approving party at the Authority.
You know that the normal is man to sponsor, so woman to sponsor will even be more "challenging". I just did mention about he profession because I know two case with my colleagues.
Now I wonder what is illegal about the second proposal. If the husband is and can be sponsored by the company, what is wrong about that? They want the woman (if they really want her badly), I said, "maybe" she can bargained for her husband.
flor1212,
1. husband's profession is absolutely irrelevant. whether he has no any profession whatsoever, or he is the a president of his country, he still will be indicated as a "houswife" in his Family visa...
2. Your advice to "bargain with your company to sponsor your husband" is ... hhhmmmm... illegal. Suggesting such things on the open forum sounds irresponsible for "Sr. Civil Engineer (PM)"
it's a simple reminder. Don't get offended, please. Good evening!
flor1212
Yes sorry for that, WHat im trying to ask to angeline is if she was able to sponsor her child , is her husband in DOha? since im planning to bring my baby but my husband is not in Doha...
you are in the main forum!
TO MS. ANGELINE...
Noong nagsponsor ka sa child and sister in law mo andito ang asawa mo? kailan ka nagsponsor ng child mo?
hard to give an advice cause your case is really a special one here (I mean wife doing the sponsorship). We don't know your position or profession and your husband's profession.
Salary wise, maybe there will be no problem but it would help if your husband's profession is somehow "professional also".
My real advice is bargain with your company to sponsor your husband and maybe, maybe, deduct in your salary whatever the expenses would be. It will be much easier for the children. Unless you will be working with a Q company.
from the west, Ms. Manager! Lol!
deal direct with the ministry of laber don't west time to give it to some mandub, westing time
hi tigerlion, yes company accomodation or 8k housing allowance
very difficult to get family visa for your husband but u can have family visa for your children...........what is your job position? And you are offered any housing allowance???????????
Hi,
Check with your employer if you are entitled for Family Status and if indeed, clarify with them if they can assist you with the application. Just for your info, you need to be in Doha in order to facilitate your application, and also you should already have Residence Permit for yourself by that time. Your family will be under your sponsorship, therefore have yourself established first before you can start processing their papers. It's possible that you could get the RP in a month, subject to your employer's effort. The Immigration requires 6 months bank statement, I heard that there were cases that even less were accepted. There is a Filipino Group here in QL. You could bring up your other queries there.
Kel
I am pretty sure that you will need your employer's complete support to do this. They should assure you that they will do all the work and it would be no problem. Doing it yourself is fraught with difficulty.
Mandi
the processing time for dfa authentication for expedite is only 1 day by 2 pm onward the authenticated documents will be released in old DFA office.
hello ghrazelcmbcl, the processing of red rebbon in old dfa takes only 2 days for rush and for regular only 4 days, you only need to pay 200pesos for 2 days and 100 pesos for 4 days issuance per copy of course.
ghrazelcmbcl, it will be extremely difficult for you to sponsor 3 person.. I would say, next to impossible.
No one would be able to give you correct answer in advance. Such applications go on case-to-case basis.
Angeline O, your case is different. I guess, your husband is here..
do you know the process of red ribbon? i really appreciate all your inputs.
Yes you must bring with you all your original documents and scanned copy of your husband's & kids' passports (original they will need it when they travel)...
I almost forgot, your marriage contract and birth certificates (you, your husband & kids) will be required and make sure they are with the red ribbon - Bring these all with you in Qatar!
guys, thank you very mch for all your inputs.
what was the time frame before you got your child and sister in law?thanks
Well, granting that you have all the documents I noted, the only thing that will hamper your application to sponsor your family will be your inability to provide bank statement. The government requires six month's bank statement, so I guess the first thing you should do when you got here and secure your residence ID card is open an account with any local bank...
thanks teyob, do i need to bring their attestation before i leave the philippines?in order for me to process thei resident visa?how about their passport does the embassy in qatar needs to stamp/put a sticker on it?do i have to bring them?do they need medical certificates before they went to doha?
Previously, I managed to sponsor my child and my sister in law here in Qatar. Therefore i reckon that it is possible as well for you to do the same. Your company itself should be able to assist you in terms of the process.
no, i don't want to be rejected that is why as earlier as today i wanted to know how to avoid rejection. I really want to have my family with me.
what are the things that i should avoid and what are the documents that i should provide to grant their resident visa
You must come here to Doha first in order for you to acquire a residence permit which is a requirement prior to transact any business in Qatar, personal or professional! Attestation is actually the 'Red Ribbon' by our DFA there, your kids must have a valid residence permit as well to be legally accepted in school. Requirements are the usual i.e. original report card and good moral character from last school attended. The processing time after you have gotten your residence permit (Qatar ID card) is not less than one month from date your company has applied for their visas. Your company will ask for your school credentials (college diploma & transcript of records) and NBI clearance all authenticated by our DFA meaning they should bear the red ribbon. Your husband must bring with him as well his school credentials and NBI clearance likewise with DFA's red ribbon if he intends to look for work here in Qatar, god bless...
thanks.but i am still in the philippines.i just want to get my family at an earlier time.
i don't have a resident visa yet. i believe i need to get this before i can sponsor my family.
can you also suggest on the certification attestation. again thanks.
Same process as for a husband to sponsor his family. although my understanding is that it is more likely to be rejected
I suggest you deal directly with the ministry - they know what is required and are very helpful. I;m afraid if you rely on QL you get loads of conflicting and incorrect advice on this topic.
I know several women in this situation and there were no issues, providing you meet the salary criteria ( which you do) and there was no such delay. Your situtation is not even considered a special case any more,
