compounds close to aspire zone

Hi everyone
I will be moving to Doha at the end of may/early june and will be working within the aspire zone. I would like to ask for any recommendations of compounds nearby or an area where i could look to find an apartment. ideally i would like somewhere which is within walking distance of the aspire zone.

I am coming over on my own (single male) so only require a 1 or 2 bedroom place which is fully furnished. My monthly salary which includes housing/travel allowance is 26,375 QR and I would like to save 11,500 QR per month. Is this realistic? If not what would you think is a realistic sum to save once all living costs are taken into account?

many thanks in advance

mike

Just a further update, as expected 1st Aug and we're still waiting for Kahramaa to connect the power supply for the apartment compound. Apartments are ready, with some finishing still going on in the communal areas.

We hope to have these ready for occupation by 1st Sept but will update accordingly.

Kind regards

Apologies for the delayed response I don't get to check updates daily i'm afraid.

The apts in the compound are now 99% complete, with the facilities still being finalised, although pool/jacuzzi and clubhouse are done, just awaiting the surfacing of the tennis court/squash court and gym.

All inspections have been done and the compound has received both its Civil Defence approval and final building certificate.

The only thing we are now waiting for is for Kahramaa to connect the sub station, as water and sewage are already connected. We have a worst case date for the sub station of end of July but are pushing to have this connected before Ramadan in mid July.

I hope that helps for now.

Kind regards

Our Al Waab compound is 36 apts in total all in low rise buildings, 3 floors made up of a Grd Floor 2 bed, 1st floor 3 bed and penthouse 1 bed. Each apartment has its own private outdoor space and 1 allocated parking. There are 2 compounds linked together which have both dedicated and shared facilities i.e. 2 separate club houses & separate pools, shared mini market, squash & tennis courts, Unisex Gym + separate ladies gym, Cafe & childrens play area. We hope to have the accommodations ready for occupation before Ramadan (mid July) although some facilities may not be fully completed.

The compound is located very close to Doha Expressway so you can be in West Bay within 15-20 mins, for nightlife etc.Really it's down to cost, you'll get more for your money in our Al Waab compound, but less prestige than a batchelor apt in The Pearl.

I hope that helps for now.

Kind regards

Craig

Craig,

I'd be interested in further updates on the new compound on al wabb st. I'm moving to doha in may, and will be looking to move into a flat asap. Will there be 2 beds available on that development? I've got a list of people from the UK looking to visit me a mile long!!

I'm a single male, 28, and enjoy a drink or two! Am i going to better off in west bay? I would also consider the pearl but the apparent liquor license issues have discouraged me somewhat, and although the development looks nice as a whole, doesnt seem to represent great value for money.

My parents live in abu dhabi so i'm used to the region but not Doha and a contact in the real estate market would be great!

Hi, my name is Craig, MD of Mirage Property, a well established Real Estate company here in Qatar.

If you take a look on our website www.mirageproperty.com and search by ref. no.: AP489, this will bring up a small compound of 1 bed apts, priced at QR6,000 unfurnished or QR7,000 fully furnished, located behind Villaggio/Aspire zone, so walkable....although not advisable in summer!!

We are also in process of completing our second compound on Al Waab St, which will consist of 36 apts with pool, gym, tennis, squash courts, games & TV room etc. These will be semi furnished and should be ready by June/July, with 1 beds starting from QR8,500. inc. of water and electric.

I hope that helps but please feel free to contact us directly via the website for any further info.

Kind regards

Craig at Mirage.

Hi Ketch, the compounds are almost all 3-4 bedrooms at somewhere around 15,000 near Aspire. You probably would want to look for an apartment rather than a compound. And no, you don't want to walk! Anywhere!

Hi;

there are loads of compounds along al waab but walking in Qatar isn't done much. . .

It's in the general area but a little further away, but I love Beverly Hills Al Rayyan. Great services (two pools, two gyms, coffee shop, grocery store, bakery, dry cleaner, squash courts, basketball courts etc) make it worth the commute in my opinion. Maybe 15 minutes by car from Aspire Zone.
