Which, Where, How??

Hi there, we are planning to relocate to Qatar but the only problem is that we have no idea where to start. My husband is working there and commutes but we have decided to move as a family to Qatar. Can people please advise which areas/compounds/housing developments are good to look at and live in for expat families in Qatar. Also, I need to about schooling as I have a 4 year old son who would need to attend a good school. We have heard so many mixed reviews about living in Qatar - are there things for families to do there? Playgroups/Activity centres etc?
I look forward to hearing you. Thanks!

good point Mzakria - the husband should provide this info and if he has no knowledge he should go out and acquire it - it does seem strange. Also, he will be aware of your person preferences better than anyone.

I would say from personal perspective it is a little limiting here for families, compared to alot of countries, not a wide variety of things to do and the heat in the summer means difficult to take your child (or yourself for that matter) outside. You effectively will be prisoners either in your own home or the mall

There is so much good information about Qatar on the internet... you should read, explore & decide. It is a very peaceful, safe and easy country. Ideal if you are family type of person... there is everything available that a normal family would need... What's your benchmark? what are u trying to compare Qatar with?... Since ur husband is already in Qatar I am shocked he has no information for you...
