Sound proofing the room
By paradisevirus •
Playing musical instruments, karaoke or simple loud music will surely disturb my neigbours. I dont want to enjoy on thier comfort cost. Is there a way i can make one room sound proof and listen to loud music.
Anyone knows anything please let me know, Please note: One of the wall of my room is common for my nearest neighbour flat.
Thanks in advance.
you can put egg holder, and put it on your wall ,and dont stop the music
that's cheap and all you need is glue :)
Its not very complicated depending on what kind of treatment you want done.
I run a company specialising in noise control. www.koruqatar.com
Let me know if you are interested. I'm sure we can work something out to fit within your budget.
Egg boxes are cheep :o)
Ofcourse old mattresses against the walls also help..

Egg box's are not much use for soundproofing. But they help in reducing reflection. If you were putting together a sound studio for recording they would be a cheap way of reducing echo. But you need sound absorbing material. Commercial soundproofing materials are not cheap, however some of the suggestions above are viable (but still not that cheap).
hi friends! egg shell will do, especially if you have carpet floor. sound waves will be absorb by these materials and they will not bounce and make noise.
oh-oh.. someone is too loud..
Try putting egg shell cases (like Aloha_Doha_1981 suggested) on the wall and cover it with lots and lots of styrofoam, you can put as many layers as you want, and carpet your floor.
Use egg shell cases along with mattresses that u will need to fix on the walls
Best advice...use HEAD SET! as per metoyou said. Or install styro foam then egg trays around your room walls, that will atleast lessen sound penetration to otherside of the wall.
hi dear, u can make soundproofing at lowest cost. or u can buy some accoustic panels and fix in ur all cournes of ur rooms.
go to inland sea or sand dunes or desert alone and enjoy your music.,,
so it will not hurt anyone.
"Loud music may hurt Monkeys"
Get a stand alone villa and enjoy loud music which will gradually lead to eardrum rupture.

timebandit you are serious :D
metoyou you are a genius
use headset maybe :P
Yup.. you can sound proof a room. But it takes multiple layers, and your room will need to be very large in the first place. And soundproofing materials will cost a lot, lot more than you would be willing to spend.
