Capello quits as England Manager

This is not exactly in Qatar, but the reverberations can certainly be felt here too. Mainly because there're so many Britons here. Finally, it's "bye-bye Capello" and "Hello Harry..."

England should and must have an English Sanger. The F A have screwed up twice. They can't afford another mistake.

I wonder how much of his reputed £4million a year they had to pay him yesterday?

Alan Sugar was interviewed and to my mind seemed to open the door for Redknapp to go to England job if he wanted to -assuming that the FA approach him and don't want yet another high cost foreigner!

Coincidental timing- Redknapp over and Capello resigns on the same day- one could be cynical.........

At last!!! Terrible choice in the first place and never seemed to gel with the players, let alone communicate properly....Harry next I hope...at least he'll bring more of the English bulldog fighting spirit to the table. Our players need to be proud to wear the shirt again.

If Redknapp has any sense whatsoever, he will give the England job a wide berth and let some other mug take the hassle, intrusion, media backlashes, insults, prying - all the things that go alongside the role as head coach of the England team.

Its always the managers fault isnt it..never the players...He at least got England qualified to to major tournmanents...

When did any manager do any good to the English team anyway?

About time too. He was useless and did not anything special, for the team.
