Mums and baby groups

Hi,

My wife will be arriving in Doha soon with my 1year old son from the UK. She is a regular at mums and baby groups where we lie in the UK and would like to continue going to grope if there are any when she arrives.

Does anyone know if these exist and can anyone recommend any that they could join? I've heard of the Doha mums group on here but they don't seem t meet very often and my wife is looking for something more permanent

Thanks in advance

Hi - thought I'd just point out that I'm from the UK also and when you first look at the doha mums site, it doesn't look like there are many activities.

When she arrives, she'll need to attend one of the playgroups or new arrivals coffee mornings and she will then be able to join.

Once she's joined she'll have access to all the activities going on, not just for the kids, but for her and the whole family. There is something going on everyday and night - I really dont know what I'd have done if I hadn't joined Doha mums when I arrived!

All the best for the move!

Doha Mums is ok. The problem is that they are very clique-ish and tend to ignore new members.

I think you find that once your wife joins Doha mums that small groups seem to break away to do other things much like the Tuesday ladies group (who meet bi weekly at Ramarda hotel.

Why follow when you can lead? If your wife is active she could start her own group or initiate activities and meet ups with existing group members :)

OK over to the mommies of Qatar.
