Qatar

Hello all,

After being here for the past couple of days , I have realized that Qatar reminds me of Dubai , as I was residing in Dubai Previously. Not the current Dubai , but the Dubai 10 years ago , initially when it started booming. As dubai financially has been going downward , Qatar has been improving its infrastructure and has been improving technology wise . Qatar has the potential to advance and be the number one hub for all celebrities just like dubai in a few years. What do you guys think about this?

Qatar is not promoting Night Life.

Qatar is nowhere near Dubai and even Abu Dhabi. Bothe cities organize concerts and have an active nightlife whereas Doha is pretty dead.

I was in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai in last 15 years. I would agree with you, the rapid development years for Qatar is between late 00's til present and 10 years back compared with Dubai.

When you talking about celebrities hub, I wld think different way because celebrity will related with entertainment. Here, we almost don't have public entertainment, no karaoke, no place to watch live sport or popular artist event on screen, all indoor and paid! whereby Qatar only concentrate for family entertainment for high and middle class. We here is likely to encourage to stay at home, play with kids, eat, sleep and leisure at accommodation stand alone compound. Public sport and event entertainment almost none here to attract population, compared with Dubai and other Asian nation, where people gathered in the restaurant, cafe, stall, club, pub to watch football like fiesta, cheer up and down under, but of course no alcohol please! Celebrity hub? ermmm

Yeah , I believe we are seeing more of celebrities here and events due to the excess funds available in Qatar , Dubai funds are drying out slowly.

Dubai Leads and others follow.

But Qatar improvement are based on completely different ideas. Where as Dubai went for Tourism and Real estate developments. Qatar is focusing on Education and Sports recognition!

Plus Qatar financing is more solid than that of Dubai!
