The advise from han is good.

moreover if by any chance you are not getting reasonable care at the health center then don't fret over it and just take panadol or brufen from a pharmacy and a cough syrup. Or, at most pharmacies, the pharmacist is also qualified and would be willing to give his recommendations.... this wouldn't be much different from what the public health center doctors would give you.

I think I gave the wrong website abbrv, so sorry about that. It should be SCH, ie supreme council of health.

Since you don't have a health card, you may have to pay more, so be prepared for that, unless you have already submitted for a health card. Make sure to have a health card, once you feel better.

Do let us know if you succeed getting the treatment without a health card.

Come on Fan, you know what he is talking about :-) and he is feeling sick as it is.

For fever you do not just walk to hamad hospital, they won't give you priority and hence you will end up waiting for hours to be seen. You need t go to the nearest health centre with your Qatar ID, they will give you the sick leave and medicines, but at the health centre, they don't accept cash, so you need to have an ATM card with you.

Moreover, it being a Friday, most health centers are closed today, except muntaza HC. There may be others that may be open. Check the SEC website for more details.

You will not get a sick leave for Thursday, if you had taken an off on Thursday, and hopefully you will feel better over the weekend.
