Seriousy, I struggle to think of a more backwards country in the whole world. It's like the last four hundred years just didn't happen.

Or rather all the times the death penalty has been actually carried out for witchcraft is when it was coupled with another crime. There have been times for example when the so called "spells" have actually poisoned and/or killed the "bewitched" which is when the culprits are executed. This bit of info doesn't always come out in the news for various reasons namely the people involved not wanting the news to be passed on for the fear of further repercussions, social stigmas, etc. Take for example the famed Lebanese soothsayer who though was prosecuted was NOT executed as he's actions never actually harmed anyone. So whilst I'm not saying the execution was completely right I do believe that unless all the facts are revealed one can never know.

Crazy Khan - What an apt username.

So are you saying that these people deserve to die for their sin of practising whichcraft?

"Sorcery, witch craft, fortune telling these are the major sins in Islam."

Obviously Muslims believe that these things exist. Poor guys!

Guys just think twice before you type your words.

Sorcery, witch craft, fortune telling these are the major sins in Islam and you have no right to point out on any country for their rules and laws.

Just imagine if they do the same witch craft on you, you would realize the great fun of it.

Then why the hell have you detained people and torturing innocent people in western countries.

Stop passing time on QL and do some constructive job.

And may even have some foul play involved,I also wonder at the guts of those who knowing the penalty would indulge in such activities. I mean anyone knows that witchcraft whilst considered a crime in most if not all Middle Eastern countries, is especially treated with great harshness in Saudi. So why would people actually do it? Why would they take such a risk? Perhaps cos its a lucrative trade maybe. In that case is all the money in the world really worth your neck?

Hope and pray this will be the last execution of this sort and people learn a lesson from the terrible fate of Amina.. truly her end was very saddening.

From the article , it seems that she may have been a con artist rather than a witch,

They're trying so hard to adapt the western culture and yet they believe in such gibberish. The lack of REAL and SERIOUS education is very evident in this part of the world. I guess, money can't buy 'em common sense.

Only in the Middle East.
