How can I find a job and live in Doha

Hi,
I am planning to move to Doha to join my husband that is now living and working there. My nationality is Indian. I am currently working for a travel company in India. My total working experience is 12 years. I would love to find a job in Doha, but it seems to be really difficult over here for the Indian visa. I am hoping to get some advice on how to find a job that will be able to also get me a visa so that I can join my husband. I am presently in Doha for about 15 days and have not been able to get a good opportunity wherein they will be able to arrange for the visa. I do not mind working in another field as I don't like the feeling of coming to Doha and not working, because I love to have a job to go to :). Please feel free to comment if you have any advice for me because I have tried everything: Bayt, naukrigulf etc.

Thanks!

To begin with, start by not copying other people's topics. If you do that with your CV managers will see it through and then you lose your chance..

This one just looks like a different version of another forum posted earlier.

If you come on any company sponsorship, you cannot change jobs without a NOC from the sponsoring company, and companies do not give NOC easily. So wherever you join, make sure it's a good company and pays you well otherwise you are stuck.

Thanks for the advise and I think you are correct in what you said about MERIT. Problem is husband cannot sponsor has he does not draw the minimum salary required to get spouse. The advice joining the same company could be good but he works for a hotel. Even if I look at the option I need to know if after coming on the visa provided by his company can I change my job and in how much time

Thanks for at the reply but the problem is that to come under husband's visa you need to have a minimum salary and at this point he does not draw that salary.

There are few job placement companies operating in Qatar, but in your case i m not sure they are going to help since you r on visit visa. You can still try your luck....

Kind of APPROACH is required to find a job in Qatar because there is something known as "MERIT" which Qatar lacks in.

Your husband sponsorship is better to get going in Qatar. For job, ask your husband to employed you in the same company where he is working.

Why are you looking for a company to sponsor you? Is it difficult for your husband to sponsor you?

..try and come under your husbands family visa else it will be difficult. Once here under your husbands visa, you can work (employers do not give all benefits, so a lower cost to company)
