Pros&Cons? using agency to find a nanny

I have been looking for a live in nanny.
I am thinking about using an agency to find a suitble person.
Could you give me some infomation who previously used the agency?How much cost will be?(average)
Please tell me advantage and disadvantage about your experience.
also kindly give me some list of agencies I can contact.

Well i have to do some homework..I don't know any arabic..so an arabic peper would be a little tricky..but i guess I can find some phone number in internet.??
So Will they refund registered money 3 months after i didn't satisfied?3 months after replaced 2nd person then want to swap again will they accept it?
How many times I can change nanny during service?Condition is depends on agency?

You will have to do some homework to get the list of agencies.
Check the ql classifieds, or yellow pages, or get hold of the arabic daily al-sharq classifieds, and get the recruitment agency names and numbers from that paper.
Although the ad will be in arabic, names and numbers are in english.

if you are lucky you can get a good helper...but they usually go by the term maids and not nannies. nannies are rare, housemaids would have experience handling young children.
cost of recruiting through an agency is in the range of 9000-12000 qatari riyals.
contact the agencies, they will email you the cvs, you can conduct a telephone interview with as many as you like and shortlist, then the agency will get the maid for you. if you are not satisfied, you can return them in 3 months time and get a replacement or refund.they will even help you with the medical and CID, but thats paid seperately
Getting a Nanny is like getting a good job, a good wife & so forth. You have to be really lucky go get a good nanny. Getting through agency will cost more & getting some one through contact is cheep. But as i said you really need to be lucky. Few tips (not necessary to work in all cases) Fresh Nanny or house maid no experience easy to mould. Many a cases experienced one know how not to work, they know many trick of the trade. Best of luck on your hunt
