Qatar inflation highest since start 2010
Reuters is reporting that :
Annual consumer price inflation in Qatar rose to 2.2 percent in September because of a jump in food costs, reaching its highest level since at least the beginning of 2010, when the Statistics Authority began publishing year-on-year data.
The inflation rate climbed from 2.1 percent in August, continuing this year's uptrend from 1.6 percent in January. Qatar resumed experiencing inflation last December after a protracted period of deflation.
On the bright side, rents in Qatar are supposed to be down 0.8% (which is about QR80 on a QR10,000 monthly lease). Though that hardly helps if you're in a one year lease.
Have you seen prices increase, decrease or stay the same this year? Leave a comment to let us know.

the world over....
And it's only gonna get worse
Food prices in the world market fluctuate based on many factors like rainfall, export policies of food producing countries etc..since 90% of food is imported in qatar, its expected that, despite ever increasing oil and gas exports, the country would be at the receiving end of capricious swings in the food prices abroad.
residential rents or commercial?
