karwa driver toxic fumes

I took that Karwa today to get to my dog's house for a party. That man smelled like a sack of fart. Do these guys have the minimum shower per week requirement as part of their job or not?

I am not saying his nationality but seriously a human being should not smell that bad. It was like some elephant took a dump and someone threw up on them.

I told him, you smell like an old lady who has birds for pets but he smiled and told me "heh, i don't have birds"

not just that, one afternoon, this stinker even placed his left foot on the dashboard, probably airing his smelly feet with the AC Vent,

i am a regular karwa passenger, and i really agree that lately ive been encountering rude, stinky, arrogant dim wits...

tsk tsk, karwa getting worse. and 80 percent do not use meters, if they do, they cheat you,......

hygiene is very important, it will reflect in ur personality even u are handsome or look pretty and u have a stinky smell, thats soooooo Turned Off!!!!

(am just wondering why some people didnt know what they really smell or are they just pretending that they dont have disgusting smell)

Probably, he literally farted :p just open the window a bit for a good circulation of the air :D

its not just because they're not taking a shower, its what they eat that causes them to smell too, just be patient, as you will encounter more, soon you'll get immune and you will learn how to ignore it and learn how to hold your breath for a long time :p lol

no big deal :)

Ruby the next time a karwa driver asks for your number, just tell him you will give his car's plate number to the police. That's it.

You can not get a good reply from the hotline operator especially those on night duty because they themselves, had this stinking smell probably. The management as well doesn' care .. birds of the same feathers flock together.Unfortunately no other taxi company is available

LOL! ur post really made me laugh!i guess ur new in Qatar. u know what? u should thank the driver coz he helped u get prepared as u'll encounter more of his kind! he was trying to make u immune with that smell so next time it would be easier for u to deal with it!;)...having the "Right to Fresh Air" has been an issue in this place so ur not alone having such experience;)

I thought it is O and I instead of 0 and 1, where O stands for outside Doha and 'I' stands for indside Doha. So even if it is night hours, if you are within Doha, the meter should start with an 'I'. 'O' tarrif is more than 'I', and is valid if you are going or coming from Dukhan for example.

Don't mean to be judgemental but surely cleanliness is not to be neglected by any sane able bodied humanbeing be they rich or poor, as long as they have access to running water! Nobody can expect everyone to smell lush and perfumed 24/7 but one needs to simply stay clean so as not to offend anyone. Though of course with regards to the cabbie,God knows, perhaps he had a hard day(tire puncture and stuck under the blazing sun or something) and couldn't reach a shower in time. Just hope it never happens again!

..they are now becoming arrogant too. and if you complain them to karwa hotline, you will never get any good answer from the operator.

Now that you know..next time bring air freshner with you and spray some inside the cab or have a Vicks inhaler handy.

plus you have to keep any eye for the fare shown on the meter ,which should be 1 during the day and 0 during the nightMost of Karwa drivers use the fare 0 during the day to get more money of ya (o is more expensive than 1 for the same distance crossed)this actually happened to me twice this week, and when i told them about the fare they said "oh sorry sir, it was a mistake "robbers.
