Can someone give me an adress of a shop or person who can unlock my HTC desire. It is currently ona "3" plan from the uk.

Yes go to Mobile Market opposite Souq Wakif.There are 3-4 mobile repair shops, they will be able to open that. Do negotiate the price as they may ask stupid amount.
