First Few Days in Qatar

Hello Everyone,

I may be arriving Qatar in October 2011 as currently waiting for my tickets from my employer in Qatar. I need to know what normally happens during first few days of arriving in Qatar, do people have to start work from the first day of arrival and what normally happens during first few days in the office.

Please advise what was your experience.

it depends on the employer weather he gives you time to adjust yourself or not but usally people arrive here and starts their job next day and then they have to cross some medical and legal procedures by then they become a legal resident in this country and it depends also on your job nature .In some jobs you can't start your job next day untill they checked you medically.

My employer is sorting out place for me, so no issue in regards to that. I am not sure whether i need to start work straightaway but lets see what will happen. You are right that i will miss my family alot and adjusting to a completely new lifestyle.

I will share my experience with everyone once i will reach there.
