I saw the Kindle being sold in Virgin - Landmark mall. Had the Kindle once, but the screen got damaged (forgot it in my car during summer and the screen just got stuck, i.e. can no longer change what it displays). It was great - while I had it. It was the first (and only) one I ever tried, so I cannot give opinion on which one is the best.

I have the B&N's Nook Simple Ereader. It is awesome and i prefer it over the kindle (from a hardware perspective - cause majority of my books/documents are pdf's which i uploaded to the nook). Picked it up from the states but you can pick it up from Amazon and ship it here.
