Hello everybody,

My fiance was recently relocated to Doha for a 2 year contract job. He is inviting me to visit and look around the place - where eventually would be OUR new place after getting marry in December.

I am a Nurse by profession and i wont just sit and wait for him all day and do nothing. I want to have my own earnings as well and to kill the boredom - landing a job would be perfect.

Any suggestions please? I have heard HAMAD hospital. I am quite interested to work for them. I am CRN but working outside dialysis area would be fine too. And, is it possible if i live with my partner instead of living at the work premises? considering we would be married by then. Would i still get a living/transportation allowance ?

Please advise RN pinoys out there :)

AngelinaBallerina,CRN = Certified Renal Nurse :)And about having "power" it is really nice for him to be on that position, an advantage. And i am glad, he could actually have me there for a visit :)

Thanks for the advise kababayan, indeed, what you said is true. My fiance's company will book me a hotel reservation for my stay - i will be tourist for 2 weeks and would discover what is Doha has to offer. My fiance is the administrator of the company, so he has the power to do such.By the time that i am there, we are married by then, so there is really no problem with that. I'll try to check on that agency while i am here. Thanks for the information.

Dear Kabayan,Please be advised that staying together as unmarried couple is highly prohibited here in Qatar. But a lot of our kababayans still practice such. But just a piece of advice if you don't mind-get married first before living together or if you can't yet, then better to live separately and wait until you are married to him. It is better to wait than to lose a good future for the both of you, anyway, everything has its own time. As for your job application, HAMAD doesn't hire nurses directly in Doha. You have to apply there in the Philippines at Universal Staffing agency in Palanan Makati. You can log on to POEA website to check the contact info of the agency. I hope these information would help you weigh things and come up with good and wise decision. Good luck.
