A Qatari mother’s anguish

A Qatari single parent – a mother of six children - has in a statement to the local Arabic daily Arrayah drawn the attention of the public to her frustration over the unhelpful attitude of the Hamad Hospital and the Supreme Council for Health in granting approval for her to travel abroad at government expense to have an urgent surgery for her five-month-old son.
Born prematurely as one of the twins, the boy is suffering from a heart condition that needs urgent surgery abroad. She has been desperately in touch with the doctors and officials concerned at the hospital and the SCH but to no avail.
There have been similar cases for which the authorities have granted approval, she said.

Perhaps there is no husband MBK, that's why they aren't granting the surgery.  Maybe the child was born out of wedlock.

cannot believe that this kind of thing will happen to a local. May Allah the almighty give her the strength to carry on in facing this hard times of her family and may the officials of HMC will be elnightened of their responsibility and not to abandon a mothers call for help for her son.

HGL, the reason I was inquiring was if she has a 5 month old son thats mean she was technically impregnated about 14 month ago!Since the above threads starts with a Qatari Single Parent! Thats what I was trying to establish. May be if the Father (who may be absent) also pushed the authorities it might help??  Afterall it is a man's world.

May Allah grant the little one cure and the mother justice and ease soon.. Aameen! Really sad to see a child  suffer this way. Hope some influential party will step in and do the needful pronto.

She ( mother of 6 ) deserves all justice and free services, its a question of life and death, if there is a precedence, why not applicable to her family ?
