hi, First you have to apply for a famliy visa from Labor Dept. you need a salary certificate from your company, application filled up and signed by your company and yours, passport copies of your family member and your rsident permit in the passport, also you need bank statment, rent contract, electricty bill and marriage certificte if the visitor is wife (birth certificate if the visitor is children),  you will apply to labor dept and they will give you a reciept, check after 2-3 days in the labor dept's web site and you can get the result. if they approve it, print out the approval reciept and go to immigration 2 days after (Visa Section). when it is ready in immigartation, you will pay 200 QR and they will give you the family visa, but you have to cancel the visit visa and activiate the family visa, so you will pay 500 QR more. tell the immigration officer that they have visit visa & need to activate the family visa. after that, you will take your famil;y to medical, finger print and resident permit will be reday after that.

Good luck

One more advice... better do it yourself, sometimes PRO are not very helpful to have family visa approved.

Apply for the family visa in the Ministry of Labour (MOL) -  just pls. check if the MOL still handle family visa as 4 months back there was a news that it will be transferred with the MOI. You can download the application form from from the site of the MOL and you will see in the form the documents required like RP, passport, marraige certificate, birth certificate, electricity bills and others. (If you cannot download the form, you can take a copy from the guard). Fill up the form and have it signed by your sponsor. Then submit it together with the required documents to the MOL, you can check on line after 3 days if it's approve or not. May you be blessed to have an approval, otherwise take an appointment for an interview by a MOL officer for the completion of any requirements not fulfilled.
