Recycling Facilities

Are there any in Doha?  I'm particularly keen to find a way to recycle all my plastics.

Last post I can find on here was 2009 and there seemed to be nothing back then.

Unlikely I know, but maybe there's something now?

TIA.

Check with Q Kleen.  They are the garbage collectors.  I had read some time back, there is some form of recycle, not sure which or what?

They have never heard of the concept of recycling in Qatar.  They should with all the bottles, they dont even have a concept of keeping Qatar tidy, they dump their rubbish out the car window when and where they want.  The laziest and dirtiest people I have come across.

Now most things seem to be simply trashed and put into the ground somewhere.  I have always thought it would be a great idea for a plastic recycling plant in Qatar, as it would also bring money to the country because there are millions of bottles per day being used here.  *sad face*Fortunately we don't have the bad things of several years ago where tens of millions of plastic bottle trash were covering EVERY road in Doha and the Industrial Area (along with a zillion 'broken' cars that the government wouldn't allow owners to repair...).  Still sad that they don't recycle much here.
