Is it possible to stamp Engineer visa in Qatar holding UAE visa?

I was working in Dubai, UAE (Visa valid till Jan 2012). But, I have been in India for the last 6 months and so is there any problems in getting an Engineering visa in Qatar. Currently on visit visa in Qatar, and company is ready to provide employment visa here.

Discuss your issue with your employer's PRO and clear your situation.There are many rules regarding Qatar and UAe visa.So make it clear, decide and go ahead

Thanks for the response.The concern is that I have not cancelled the visa in Dubai (But I believe the UAE visa is not valid anymore since I have been out of UAE for more than 6 months now).

Inshallah there wont be any problem to join in Qatar. You dont have to cancel your visa in uae also. But if you do it it will be good for you in future ,if you ever had to visit uae or so.

u urself said that u were working in dubai. means u r not working there anymore. and u r lucky u got an oppurtunity with a visa also mentioning engineer. so if u r happy with package, then there is no problem accepting it. go ahead and best of luck.
