It all depends on ur Luck or Wasta.Qualification and Experience is all just Crap and Bullshit.specially if u talk about ras gas and QP.there might may b som cases where sombody got job by their own effort or on basis of his/her qualification but most of the time it dont.most of the times hiring seems biased towards particular nationalities ,and they prefer to hire sombody who is much less educated and unexperienced if he is from particular nationality.

i personally never find it effective by applying online, besides of the fact of holding master degree and reasonable experince

Hey all, Since i work in QP , i would recommend u that, applying online is of no use or either u should be of a qatari nationality . or atleast have 15 yrs of experience.

but still u can try on . lemme see if i can recruit u

Qatar jobs depend on the the following factors (specially big ones QP, Qtel Qgas.. etc... believe or not)

1. PASSPORT- what passport you are holding is one of the determining factors

2. Do you have influence, reference inside or not?

3. experience and qualification goes not matters here in Qatar

and few others... factors... so don't be sad.... be happy world is bigger than Doha and there are lots of better and bigger places than Doha...

QP online recruitment is 100 percent unfair.Nobody is getting selected just thru the online recruitment application.Even if you have applied correctly and you have all the experience,qualifications and certfications,you will get a regret mail from QP automation server even before anybody contacts you for interview.Please check the recent recruitment for SAP jobs in QP and identify the less competent guys who are the relatives/friends of the recruitment team.

I'm not sure what sort of role you are looking for but if you are interested in working for Qatar Petroleum please have a look at website www.qp-jobs.com. Its not ALWAYS true, my sister got in QP without any recommendation. Just applied online and was called for interview and she got through the test and interview. But she applied couple of times before nothing happened. Its just your luck. I do agree there are people who get in through influence. She even told the interviewer that she dont have anyone to recommend, so if she gets the job its only because of her qualification and experience/skills.

Here's a tip, you should first read the job requirement and qualifications, then you should cater your resume/CV to what they're looking for. Most big companies don't really have real people going through those resumes/CV, they have a software that look for keywords. In short you shouldn't have just one set of resume and always follow-up on your applications don't wait for the company to contact you. Hope this helps.

If anyone needs help on there resume/CV, I can always spare some time to look it over.

I have seen many well qualified job seekers not even considered for interviews at companies like QP and RASGAS while people with NO EXPEREINCE and hardly any qualification get into good posts there just because they know some on in the recruitment division.

This is really unfair to those who spent years trying to build a great career and get a good position in some good company.

maybe u can help me too. im also looking out for a job in QP.I have done masters in business administration(MBA).

You can only send 3 applications online and the 4th will be invalid. They are giving 90 days, for them to process the application and truly they contacted the short listed one. The secret is in your credentials and sometimes a mix of luck.

So anyway goodluck to you, if you really want to be a part of QP dont give up. Do some renovation with your CV maybe it would help and always pray to GOD, He will give the desires of your heart ;)

I have it on good source that QP receives about 10,000 on-line applications per month. Unfortunately, there are apparently not enough internal QP resources to adequately screen all on-line candidates; so your best chance is to know somebody within QP who can apply a little pressure to move your file to the forefront. If Mystica is willing to help you on this front, I would say go for it.

I recently had a chance to go to the QP's recruitment Department and there I saw two people waiting for their interviews. If you have some good connections in QP you can easily get a job, otherwise its tough getting into QP. I have been trying for some time but to no avail.

Anyways Good Luck and hope Mystica's effort fulfils your desire.
