Housing in Qatar Education City

Hi All:
I have been offered a job at a university in qatar education city. I have been offered residence by the university. Can anyone please tell me what type of housing is available, what are the facilities available and how far it is from main doha city?

Yes, there are three bedroom condos in EC but it all depends on your job position and marital/family status and that is determined by your employer/institution. You really need to get with your HR and ask these questions, they are used to such inquiries. Which is your university? Ask them if you are to be given family status, school fees for your kids and what kind of housing and transportation. Believe me, it will make a difference! You want to make sure before you sign, even if EC contracts are pretty standard for the six American universities. Mandi

Do they provide villas? Is there 3 bedroom condominium option? What facilities do you have, gym, poll, clubhouse etc?
Single people have apartments, familes have what we in the US call condominiums. These are nice and close to Education City, and about 20 minutes from "downtown." Several of the universities offer off-campus housing, you'd have to check with yours. Didn't they show you your options when you came for an interview?Mandi
