Just now I guy came to our house in Hilal and asked for Sadaqa, saying that he is from Qatar Charity. I made him wait and called Qatar Charity. They confirmed that they didn't send anybody to collect money from houses and they are fruads. They asked me to call police if I can. By that time he had left the place.

Guys please be aware of this fraud, the money which is meant for the poor should not end up with these guys.

A few nights ago in front of Sheikh Faisal mosque in Gharrafa, I spotted an Arab guy wearing a clean white dishdash, looking very decent, loitering around. He approached me and asked for monetary help in Arabic. I pretended not to understand Arabic and he was gone. I watched him for a while and noticed he went to all the expat people in the parking lot having the more expensive cars.

Note that begging is not legal in this country as far as I know. They have plenty of charitable organizations to help genuine people. So please don't be deceived.

I got it from his face and the reciept which he was holding. A 4th grader can make those. How can people cheat like this ?

Of course it's a racket. How can you explain a bunch of people all selling the same perfume bottles with the same illness telling the same story as though they have rehearsed it. I've been living in Doha for the past 3 years, and they were there every single Ramadan at the same place. They're just people trying to earn some extra cash dishonestly, but that's not the right way to earn money. Genuine deserving people who need our money are addressed by registered charities and I would always advice you to put your money into those charities instead. I have once told one of these perfume-seller guys to go to Qatar Charity and tell them his "kidney problem" and they will fix it once and for all. The guy just escaped the scene! The moment these guys know that you are aware of their scam, they just walk away.

About those guys lurking around FFC selling pens and perfumes, I have this to say: Desperation leads to desperate measures. I do not condone it though. If it was elsewhere I would have never given anything. But in Qatar, where everything is strictly monitored, I wonder if rackets exist here. Someone please let me know if I am being too naive. As for those who act in QC's name, well this is an utter fraud. TFS dear Shaz481. I will be on my guard and spread the word around.

Also be on the lookout for perfume-selling beggars who lurk around Family Food Center, Lulu HYpermarket area. They approach you with great story-telling skills and talk of some misfortune or illness, and will even show you thinks like a bag filled with urine hanging on their belly due to kidney trouble.Theres plenty of those guys and they all have the same medical conditions and same perfume bottles to sell. THey were there last year during Ramadan and are back again this year. Just tell them you're gonna report them to police and they will walk away.
