As I am a single mom for an 8 years old girl, let me tell you it is really difficult, I work in a hotel appearently this is the worse working hours as I start @ 8:30 am and finish by 6 pm so I hardly see her for two hours in the evening before she sleeps to get to school next day.
Having a maide helps in at least ensuring she gets her hot lunch, and shower after school till I return and we study, but it never replaces the mom role and shouldn't anyhow so don't expect or accept more. Maid role is just to heat the food and ensure the safety during playing no more.
Started to look already for another job as it is affecting her grades badly and I do regret joining and moving to Doha because of that Job. I love the city here so much, we both do, but it is not as easy to live as single mom here. , so God bless single parents, tough job but worth the joy :)
me i left my wife and our kidz in my country..she is working nightshift in a company 7pm to 7am..the when she got home she doing some household chores and assisting our kid to go to scholl then..she will be ONLine in the net so we can talk and see each other...then around 1pm their she weill go to sleep and woke up in 430pm to get ready going to work again..i love my wife very much doing this everyday...
THOUGH BEING MARRIED, LIVE A LIFE OF A SINGLE MOTHER, BUT THINGS ARE QUITE EASY GOIN WITH MY LITTLE ANGEL. DROP HIM TO NURSERY IN THE MORNING, GO TO WORK, FINISH WORK BY 2.30 PICK HIM FROM SCHOOL THEN GO OUT SHOPPING OR IF THERE IS ANY WORK TO FINISH, BY THE TIME WE REACH HOME HE IS SO TIRED AND GOES OFF TO SLEEP, WHILE HE IS SLEEPING I CAN FINISH ALOT OF MY OTHER WORK. ONCE HE WAKES UP WE PLAY TOGETHER AND SPEND SOME QUALITY TIME WITH HIM, HE GOES BACK TO SLEEP AND THEN I STUDY FOR SOME TIME, AND THEN TIME TO SLEEP AND BACK TO THE SAME SCHEDULE THE NEXT DAY.
I THINK IT IS FUN CUZ MY LITTLE ONES A BUNDLE OF JOY, HE IS ONLY 9MTHS BUT THE BEST :)
Its very diffficult, you know.
I am not single parent, but I can imagine how they are making their way. Maybe with help of other friends, relative or getting transport services.
Some maybe working at night shift, and morning for the children's school. I mean God knows.
May Allah will help them.
