In BB there are two models. eg: RCM72 and RCN72 both for 9780. If the device is RCM it supports HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 and RCN supports HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100 . I am exactly looking for this RCN model.
How do you check this: Go to Setup -> Options -> Device -> About Device Versions in your device. If you see 3G Bands 1,4,8 that is the model I am looking for (i mean RCN model). If you see 1,2,5,8 that is RCM and available commonly every where.
The quad band mentioned is when the phone operates on normal GSM (i.e. 2G), but when you are connected to the 3G network, the phone will use the 2100/1700/900 frequence. Check www.gsmarena.com for more info.
