Business visa and Tourist visa is a big headache for filipinos aiming to come in Qatar to look for  a bright future. (BI) Bureau Of Immigration in Phillipines are stopping Filipinos in the airport even the VIsa are legal and authenticated in Qatar embassy in Philipines. They are asking a documents from the sponsors and red ribbon from the Philippine Embassy. But the Philippine Embassy are not giving these type of documents and according to them business visa where not permitted  philippines anymore.. But they are not forwarding formal letter to the Qatar Govt. For not issuing Bussiness visa to Filipinos..

VERY FEW were lucky enough to find a good job BUT TOO MANY fall prey to just exploitation and was forced to accept underemployment or underpaid jobs out of necessity (not to be labeled a failure in going here).

And as long as FEW encourage such malpractice, many will still try their luck even to the extent of breaking laws just to come here. And I pity these people! They are just making themselves more vulnerable to exploitation without even the protection of our own government (which they perceived as too corrupt). The question is, who and what makes them corrupt (at least for this issue only).

One of our friend has to now return back because it did not workout for her and now she is stranded in Dubai as the company she was offered with is taking too long to process her Business Visa for a short term Contract.

Its a pure Gamble, some win some lose.

not to look for a job? If you still insist that it's right, then don't question why are there vultures in NAIA?

No it is not. But it is illegal to buy a business visa. And to come in on a visit visa, the reason, legally, should be to visit as a tourist, not to find work. But anyway, this was explained a gazillion times,am out of this for good...boring, repetetive, useless and senseless. Let them get screwed, can't feel sorry for them anymore.

by any "crooked" means and luckily get a job does not make the action right.  It is still wrong and if the BI people are seen as corrupt, it's because you gave them reason to be!  Do it the right way and how do you think they can corrupt you?

MyKris, it IS illegl if you come here on those visas with every intention of finding a job when you arrive. Your country has those rules to TRY to keep you protected. You try to get around the rules then, as Nomerci said, come crying here when you get screwed over.

They stop you at the airport because they KNOW (or at least guess) what are are trying to do.

I have been denied at the airport for having Business visa in my passport. The same question was asked.  I tried to be honest and see what could be the next move but to no avail.  Good thing is that my sponsor immediately send a Work Visa.  I can't blame our government but luck at times for some few who were allowed to leave the country using a Business Visa. I was surprised that one applicant in our company just arrived 3 weeks ago using Business visa.  So the Imigration rules are not by the book. It depends on the mood and the need of their pockets. They select few randomly, just to keep their profile low.  [mod note - English only and keep your racist remarks off QL!]

Bureau Of Immigration, OWWA, POEA, DFA is the biggest group of anti  Filipino syndicate. I am an engineer with an 8 year experience, the best offer i got from applying locally was 5000QAR. I'm so glad I applied locally here and got far better.

baldrick2dogs applying for a visit or business visa is not cheating at all. this is the way of filipinos trying to bring their families here or friends in order to find a good job & salary that they will not get in the philippines.

If you are going to apply in Recruitment agency they are giving small salary and the placement is fee is too expensive its better to be a local hire than passing thru agency.... Bussiness visa users are know already the consequences it seems like a gambling win or loss.. But Phillipine governmet are just shit and corrupt.

What is NOT open to corruption is doing it THE RIGHT WAY! Apply for a job, get an offer, have them issue a visa and come here to work. If you try to cheat the system and get caught you have only yourself to blame.
