Woman dials 911 over wrong takeaway
Police in the US were shocked when a woman called 911 to report she'd received the wrong order from a Chinese takeaway.
So, have you ever felt like calling for the Police in response to poor service ? More to the point - Do you feel that people complain too much nowadays for silly things ?

Officials have now released the audio of the call in a bid to highlight the type of calls people should not be making to the emergency number.
During the two minute call, the woman asks for police officers to be dispatched to the restaurant in Savannah, Georgia.
"I need the police. It's this Hong Kong type restaurant to go," the woman said when asked what was the emergency.
"I ordered food and they done bring the wrong food. I done brought it outside and they ain't going to give me my money and I need my money.
"Uh-uh, I need to someone to handle this. They ain't going to do me in any kind of way."
Officers were eventually dispatched - but only to give the woman a caution for wasting police time.

that left me, well, baffled to say the least. I was at the Nissan service centre waiting in the customers' lounge to get the delivery of my car when I saw a middle aged woman yelling at one of the counter staff.
Obviously, not understanding the language I could only guess pieces of what was happening. Apparently, the lady was charged QR 400 more than what she was told initially. The service staff insisted that he has clearly mentioned that there could be a faulty part that needs replacement in which case, the bill would be about QR 400 more.
The woman made a couple of calls and the first to arrive was a stocky young man who was evidently a local but with an American accent who began to shout and swear at the centre staff saying she does not understand English and has been conned. He refused to pay a penny and the woman made another call and in 15 minutes the police were there.
There were a lot of discussions happening and in the end, I was told that the poor service centre assistant had to cough out the money from his pocket..
That now begs a question. Will a similar judgement be applied if an expat has been 'conned' by a local?
If you have someone to fight your battles so to speak then many would use that liberty. As MBK pointed out in countries where you really don't have many people to complain to then you'd simply do what you can in your own way. Like if the case of the OP happens to me I'd probably call up the resto and try exchanging the goods and if they refused then I'll boycott them and maybe post about it on QL..of course then I'll run the risk of been called a "whiner" reminded that there are people worse of than me and cautioned to check my order next time before leaving the restaurant...which won't necessarily be a bad thing!
BExpat Well.. If you get what you ordered then there is no reason to complain. But we should not refrain from complaining if we odered one thing and get another thing..:)
MBK then why the other day u were complaining tat the barber didnt levelled ur side hairs of ur head properly with the wig ...:(
Though they charge only 10 bucks ?
OK..
So, do you believe that people in general complain too much or Not Enough!
Well we live in Qatar, and since coming here I have forgot to complain, as there is no one to complain too. I used to have good negitiating skills when it came to complaining about a service or product and getting the rightful refund. But in Qatar you can forget about complaining about service or products..:)
RofL britey....
Yes, your call is still on file..
"I ordered Karak-Chai and they done bring the wrong type. I done brought it outside and they ain't going to give me my money and I need my money to buy the proper chai".
I hear that the Police came and beat you about the face and neck with their trunchoens ;o)
