vote 4 qatar airways passenger choice awards

Just because I'm in the same country doesn't mean I should support Qatar Airways, its not like I have any financial interest in them. It doesn't take a lot guessing who are the owners of Qatar Airways. In fact Qatar Airways hurts me financially - their inefficiency makes them forced to engage in a nice little relationship with the CAA and price fixing where the CAA will fine any airline which discounts below the official price. They have to do that because they would lose a huge amount of money otherwise. Thats why it is almost half the price to fly to Dubai from the UK than to Doha even if I transit Doha. The moment I enter or exit Qatar through the terminal the prices double. So in short I should vote against Qatar Airways rather than for them because they are abusing their position of power in the Doha market to the disadvantage of their customers and the customers of any other airline flying into Doha.

@kutch: Priviledge club is my company's product and I'm the project manager of a similar product in Qatar. So let me briefly explain why it is normal;It is an LMS ("Loyalty" Management System)  programme so you are supposed to fly frequently to get its benefits more. And your tier points are calculated based on your activities for the one year past. If you don't fly more you can't (and logically shouldn't) get as much as point who flies more. So I am sorry but it's normal to earn less points (in basic tier) than the ones who are more "loyal".But I totally agree with that there is no point to vote them just because we sometimes fly with them or live in Qatar :) I like Emirates much more! By the way survey has been closed anyway :)

WTF!!! Why on hell we will vote it's the worst Airline EVER! damn Qatar Airways and BTW QMiles sucks imagine I'm already a gold member and suddenly I'm in Basic Level just because I did not travel for 2 years???? And do you expect we will vote? Bullshit!

too expensive!

if i have a choice i would always go for emirates airline. good thing only with QA is direct flights, but always,always delayed. expensive fairs and not organize with boarding passengers.

when they reduce the prices will vote

I didn't Fly with them since the last 3 years:

I flew Etihad, Turkish and Egypt Air

If you book much in advance, QA is the most reasonbaly priced in certain sectors.

why that they required people to vote for them, it means the airline is being under-estimated!

smart airlines neither go for a kind of survey to proove themselves!

they are good but not great, personally I think Singapore Airlines are way better, and for that so are Emirates

Not sure why I should. Whilst I think they are a good airline, they have a total monopoly on direct flights out of Qatar which is NEVER a good thing. A bit of healthy competition goes a long way and I am absolutely fed of them making out like bandits when I want to go to on holiday.
