i would like to buy a sewing maching to my wife.but really confussed of the brand.most of all recommend singer ,but i go for brother.pl share ur opinions.

Singer is the best. I have been using it for the last eight years without any complications. It is also being regularly serviced by Ferdoni. My mum's Singer machine is more than 30 years old.
If you are planning to buy Brother then you must make sure that there is a service center available here. As long as I know about Brother, it is hard to find spare parts in Qatar and back home too.

my mom says everyone else can try but they will never be as good as singer. i am inclined to believe her since i've seen at least 3 singer machines that have been running strong more than a decade with no problems..and it's just best to ask the wife what she'd prefer rather than taking you own call and risk her not liking it. best of luck
Brother & Singer are good for industrial use but Janome is best for house usage :)

They are both OK..
Singer used to be the original and trusted maker of sewing machines. in the past few years , Brother has taken up the mantle. Brother is more sophisticated with probably more options.
You want to buy a sewing machine FOR your wife.
Don't be confussed - be confused ;-)
It really depends on what she is sewing - is it simply for the family or is she going to be crafting?
I cannot answer if it is better for you to go with a sister or a brother :-/
