Am I be allowed to exit Philippines if my passport will expire 2 mos before I travel

I am holder of Philippine passport and it will be expired on Sept. I already have my schedule vacation this coming Thursday and will be back to Doha after 15 days.. I just heard from my colleague that the passport should be at least six mos valid for travelling.

For my fellow kababayans, any experience like this? Will the immigration in the Philippines will allow me to exit. My residence permit is valid until December 2011.

Kindly share and advise what to do.

Thanks in advance

You better go to embassy and let them extend your passport validity for a year or so. Its possible. I did it to mine when i need to travel on emergency 2 years ago. You may get it the same day. They will stamp it for you. Good luck!

No, u will not be allowed to leave Phils., ur passport must at least 6 months b4 expiry date . U can ask the Travel Agency to expedite the processing of your passport.... maybe u can just extend the validity, they will put a stamp on it on the 2nd page.... ill ask 1 of our employee tomorrow as to how long will it take to process it.

How can your RP be valid until Dec 2011 when your passport is valid until Sep 2011?

Legally, you can enter Qatar even if your passport and RP are valid just for 1 day however, I am surprised that your RP is valid beyond your passport expiry!
