Savings in Qatar

How about your savings ??.Can you send money to the home country. With the family of two grown kids finding it difficult with high cost of living and school fees. Did you build a house, brought a car,or business only from the here savings. I don't think. As i know many people have done many thing in the home country with the help of bank loan and not only from here savings. Can't we do the same if we stayed in our country with comfortable life with many activities, nice weather, less work pressure etc.. Are you in right direction ????

For sure no one can save money as long as you are Employee, unless you are doing business at the same time

yes..soul your are correct. That's all the people choice. no complain.Only discuss the real things happening with people to get idea. But the other problem as many facing is limited jobs in our countries. Some i know they can not find a good or new work back in home place due they prefer young generation. So some how to stay better like or not

its confusing me because i dont know if your asking question or judging people....

i dont know what you really want or what you want to say...

we have our own perspectives in life, we have our own choices...if people choose to stay here & work than in their own country it means they have their own reasons...

we're not in the same shoes...some save, some dont! its a choice. :)

Nobody is forcing you or anyone else to stay in this country.. the moment you feel that its not worthy..you can always quit your job and leave. We are all because of the choice we made. Why complain after making a choice.

I wouldn’t stay here if I am not happy or if I am not able to save anything.

Yes.. you can have a much better life here..but my question is it real worthy, can you save some.. as i mention many people saying in sharing/no outing/no parties/no entertainment etc.. why to save much as can..no normal life ..thinking about money.. with big bank loans Never thinking back to go home.. But in our country with less salary can't we live a better life with all other thing..(only for discussion)

Back home, we work for ever not even on shift basis. I started my career with site work for 12 hrs/ day, 7 days / week for two years a couple of years in some office work then when I become senior staff I thank God when I finish work at 7 pm + 1 hr at least to get home. And it's needless to tell you about the package.

Otherwise, none of us here would be sacrificing the MUCH BETTER LIFE back home if is not worthy.

Thanks for the all the comments...Here salary is very much high.. but any thing can you save ?? Mainly think about middle class workers getting salary around Qatar Riyal 15 thousand odd. Many people i know sharing houses. Wife's are working two shifts??? Do you have to do same in your home country. At least from small salary you can have a good life. This is my opinion. school fees like Cambridge, Doha Montessori,Park House are killing the people if you think about good education for the kids.

if you can manage to get the same salary and benifits in your country... of course you can do that all in your own country and enjoy the weather and enjoy life more....

Stop buying all the junk food, follow a fixed menu for a week,go to malls without your credit card and small cash only, dont offer parties and stop going them too,eat twice in Vasantha Bhawan and Mazza only if required and buy your vegetables Greens from Lulu,Potato Tomato Onions from Safari or Al Meera,Others from Safeer Center in wholesale and from this month start putting a big amount in a seperate box or account.Tell me after 3-4 months. My husband do this only.He is saving 85% of his salary for the last so many years.

Trust me spending is not a good habit. We are here to earn money and we should save a lot of it too.

You need to prioritize, not everyone living here finds life here difficult.
