Sky Park in Singapore

Singapore has opened a new wonder of the world. "Sky Park" Marina Bay Sands is located on the 200-meter height on the three skyscrapers, as if on three pillars. Here is the most expensive in the world of casinos, bars, restaurants, the largest outdoor swimming pool, 150 meters long and even the Museum of Modern Art.

Thanks wirehead, the road trip seems to be interesting if it is just a matter of few hours in the rainforests.

Lucky Luciano, true. Thailand has close proximity to Burma and imports loads of gem stones. So it is a shopping mecca for jewellery loving women like me. Plus, wonderful spa. All in all makes for the ultimate relaxing trip.

osama, you don't really need to choose between malaysia and singapore. since you're going all the way there (from qatar i assume), you might as well try to visit both. kuala lumpur is only a few hours by bus from singapore or less than an hour by plane. there are many budget flights flying between singapore and many parts of malaysia.

singapore can be relatively cheap if you eat at hawker centres and stay at budget hotels or hostels

Thailand is any day better than Malaysia and Singapore. Those who have stayed long in Gulf might not enjoy Singapore/Malaysia ( unless may be if you are an architect). Sentosa is pretty average. Thailand has some lovely beaches and cultural shows (*I said cultural shows*:-)). I love their hospitality.

Singapore is beautiful and a nice place to be in because they understand their culture, their different people with various ethnic backgrounds and what they can achieve when they stick and move ahead togather. They even have their sign posts at the train stations and almost everywhere else in so many different languages and its a nation that makes you feel welcome. You can have the gold, natural resources, the money and so on but if you want to be like them then be ready to work hard to get to where they are today.

been there a couple of months ago. it's great if you're staying at their hotel or if you're taking pics from afar especially at night. that swirling fountain (?) thing in the mall is pretty cool too. but if you're just visiting the skypark, it's a total ripoff. and because we have villaggio here, having gondola rides inside a mall isn't anything new. i had more fun inside the artscience museum (9th pic with the parachute) learning about genghis khan and the mongol empire :D

you'd need to pay SGD 20 for an elevator ride to get to the skypark seen on the 3rd and 4th to the last pics but you'd only get a view of the city (which you'd get from the top of any building or that giant ferris wheel, apart from the fact that the sg skyline is not that impressive imo) and a small sliver of the pool's edge. access to the infinity pool area is restricted to guests only.

As compared to Malaysia, yes its more expensive in Singapore, but i enjoyed my vacation there more than in malaysia. Same with Baldrick2dogs, it was still under construction last time i went past there.

You will enjoy Sentosa for sure and Clark Quay (especially the reverse bungee jumping!!)
