Hi, I have 3 yrs of exp in UAE and 5 in India as sales officer (loans) in reputed banks. I am being offered 9k in a bank in Qatar. I have a wife and 2 children. Is this sufficient for living in Qatar? Will I be able to make any savings?

Heartiest thanks to all who took the time to answer yet anoder question about salary being enuf or not.

My job is incetive based and incentives depend on what the country's financial status is. I am currently in UAE and was thinking of relocating coz I heard the economy of Qatar is better than that of UAE.

Also, I have heard that the Central bank has issued some new policies. Can anyone from banking sector, loans division tell me how this has affected the incentive packages?

Thanks!!!

9k will be most probably just enough for living. Are you getting any other allowances or accommodation? You will not be able to save much.

You can survive but not sure if you can make enough savings with 9k.

Good Morning Mr. Esss,

The question that you have raised is totally relative and is entirely dependant on your lifestyle and what you want. But personally i feel for a family of 4 with children at school, house rents and misc. you might not be able to save.

I'm sorry if I'm being a spoilsport but this is my opinion. However I always tell my buddies that staying away from one's family is the worst thing. So win some and lose some. Your salary will eventually go higher then savings would commence but till then hang on…

With 9K it is very difficult to survive in Qatar as all the expenditure is going up day by day, all essential commodities are on high here now a days.
