Hello , Me and my wife are planning to spend this weekend in Dubai, Do we need a Visa to go there? Or we can take it at the airport when we arrive there?

Note: My Profession on the residency is Engineer and my wife is sponsored by me

yes, provided your qatar visa is 6 months old. exceptions are made if you have had previously dubai residency visa.

not sure of other emirates but Dubai is much flexible if you travel by Emirates. cost is 180Dhs for 30days visa on arrival.

i am aware of the designations "engineer", "manager", "consultant" which can easily get on-arrival visa in Dubai

recently i travel to Dubai and my designation is "consultant"..had no issues at all

There should be no problem at all. You can get visa on arrival (for both)

Anyways, take some time and contact Etihad office and ask them. Maybe they can provide more details. If they fail to provide "quality" info then try contacting the UAE embassy, ask for consular services and get first hand info from them.
