Work Visa and Exit Permit

I arrived in Doha and paid for the visit visa on arrival.

I started to work and handed over my attested certificates. One week later my company told me that my visa was approved, I gave them my passport and I received it back the same day with a white sticker in saying that my visa had been extended for three months it does not say work visa (in English), says very little.

My question is, do I need an exit permit to now leave Qatar?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

You arrived on a visit visa (tourist). To my knowledge its valid for 30 days only and cannot be extended.

Since your company told you that they got your visa approval, that means 'the white sticker' on your passport is work visa stamp. now you are under the sponsorship and you need an exit permit to go out. Its better for you to complete your resident permit formalities (medical and finger print)ASAP before applying for an exit permit unless its an emergency.

You're on a visit visa still, you do not need an exit permit to leave but you'll have to get another visa when you come back in.

Exit permit is only required when you're on the sponsorship of your employer and you have a residence permit.
