Wheel size upgrade using magwheels
Guys i'm planning to upgrade my stock wheels to magwheels having 17" size. What are the things i need to adjust in my car? and what will be the result for upgrading? My current wheel size is 16" rim / 225-60R/16 while im planning to upgrade it into 17" / 235-45/7. Its a lancer ex.
rear probably lifted 1/2" but it wont affect anything at all.
Guys my friend's eclipse has a stock tire of 235 45 18 but he bought 2 pairs of 235 50 18 for the rear while front wheels are still the same. What will be the effect on this?
235 will fit definitely at the rear but not sure in the front. let us know if you already purchased it and how it goes.
i am planning for my car a 235/45/17 for the rear and 225/45/17 at the front.

actually yes black rims with red lips is very common but it is really a good looking shoe for a car. :)
harvey, yep 17" black rims with red lips is very common nowadays and dont worry about the tires as the shop will help you which tires will fit to your car.
If you have extra money, go for better brand.

buy any aftermarket 17" rims but not chrome and your good
if you want looks, then go as low as you can.
But man it's a lancer.. good wheels will cost you a lot of money.
Sorry for the confusion. My car is currently at 205 60r 16. I just want it to look better whem it comes to wheels
What size of wheels do you guys suggest for my car? Not for racing or something. Im not into racing. Just normal driving
why are you going from 225 to 235 on bigger wheels??

make sure that you get rims with the correct Offset for your car . also use a Tire Size Calculator to ensure you get the correct wheel diameter. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html is a good one, if you look at it it will show you that you should use 50 profile not 45 profile. Also check that the tires do not touch inside the wheel arc, both during normal load and when car is fully loaded.
when your on full lock with your steering you need to check that the wheels dont rubb on the body as for the speedo at the most you will have to allow 3 or 4 kmh differance (at the most)
