Law of the land

Are regulations and the law of the land only for expats to adhere to in Qatar, I can't wait for the authorities to put up cameras on the New Airport road! The other thing is drivers honking at you at a roundabout because they think it is safe for you to go. I will go when it is safe for me not for the driver behind me. They wont put their foot on the brake its too much of an efford. Come on guys a lot can be avoided on the road because you impatient, late etc...this isnt necessary...
what bugs me is I drive down the new airport road they drive easy 120 -140-160,this isnt on guys. Then they on the phone or even reading the newspaper. Sometimes they have their one leg up on the dashboard. If anything should happen how will they avoid and accident in this manner. No this isnt on. We European expats do NOT drive bad sorry to say, we are aware of what is happening around us. When you on the road be considerate of the next driver. We enforce the rules because we are expats. Going down D ring road is even worse I tell you I think Im the only expat female or I think I am on the road at 5.15am going down D ring road I tell you must see what goes on there hey...oh my word...FEARLESS is not the word...but what to do???
i remeber once on gharaffah interchange a LC was honked by a car behind, & you know what happened car no. was noted & that person deported within the same day, because that LC owner was from royal family, & he couldn't bear somebody honks him from behind!!!
I can't wait for the authorities to put up cameras on the New Airport road (you mean the one that goes on the back...right??)
Yesterday there was a post/forum which stated that there have been a few "fines" already issued to some "unfortunate" drivers going above the speed limit...so be careful.
Regards!!
I think this is really funny. Apparently to them, pulling out at a junction is based on time, not based on if there is a car coming at 80 kph towards you.
They have a 4 second patience window, beyond that you must pull out into traffic, regardless of death.
Who cares? When it is their turn, let them die.
I just turn my music up so I can't hear the f**kers.
There are laws???
Or, if you have a larger vehicle, reverse!
if someone honks at you just stop there for another 15 minutes.
Ignore the honking. I've seen drivers pressured into going only to see them have accidents. Who cares what strangers in other cars think anyway? Go when you think it is safe.
Look around when you drive. The expats are just as bad as the locals.
A honk is required to motivate those drivers who even wait for a vehicle to cross which may still be 500M away...what to do yani...:)
The law of this country implies to not only expatriates but to citizens as well.
