Applying for US Visa
By shootingstar •
Hi All
My family and I are planning to apply for our US Visa, however have the following queries, if any of you are aware, please reply to the below:
1. We have handwritten passports (Indian) will they accept our passport to stamp the visa, or do we need the digital one?
2. Any idea the minimum amount of Bank Balance needed in the account?
3. If my daughter is sponcered by me and not the company and her visa is student, but she is working, do we need to show her salary statement or all of my documents are enough?
We are confused and would appreciate some advise. Thank You everyone :)
Normal passport will be accepted as long as the validity is for six months and above. Regarding your daughter you need to submit salary certificate and work certificate. And yourself as well. Balance in the bank depends on how many days you intend to stay in the US and type of accomodation that you will take. You can search on line on how much one needs to stay in the US with food and accomodation. If you have close relatives you can give their information in case you will be their guests. Submitting application is on line and with time limits. Remembe you must have the strongest proof that you and your family will not intend to migrate or overstay in the US. Previous travels as tourist will be a bonus. It's not that easy to get US visa. You must be absolutely ready for it. Otherwise it's a waste of time and efforts. Good luck.
You will find answers of all these question on website or visit US embassy..
