New graduate nurse (western) opportunities
By mrsshowbiz •
Hi,
My husband has an interview next month for a job in Doha. If successful my daughter and I will be joining him towards the end of the year. I will have (fingers crossed) just graduated in New Zealand from a Bachelor of Nursing (Fully comprehensive in med/surg, primary health care & mental health). My concerns are not being able to get a job due to having no graduate experience. I am just looking for some feedback on how medical centres/hospitals will view my position.
regards Mrs Showbiz
My word if your practice is as bad as your written words I ain't going anywhere near there. What puzzles me is that you say you are Canadian........are you sure?
Hi
I hope you consider that my place is already confirmed to work as Homeopathy in Doha because :
1. I am Canadain H. Doctor
2. I am not hacker
3.I already had my Qatris Wellness Partner
Homeopathy is not legal in Qatar.

If you are looking for a tertiary experience in Qatar. Hamad Medical Corp. wont consider you for that. They are very strict in evaluating credentials. Your experience should be more that two years and a plus if you have license from your own country, because the first step in Hamad is Credentialing/Verification. Try to gain experience first.
Hi
How can I establish Wellness homeopathic centre in Qatar Thanks
Dr.ElSiddig
I doubt they will take you on newly qualified...HMC pay peanuts to nurses who have been qualified for years!!
Thank you for the replies. I am going to contact HMC and get some information from them. I don't want to waste a good degree! Thanks again.
Im sorry as far as I know nowadays qualified Nurse for HMC must have at least 2 years field experience, plus accreditation and board passer. but there are a lot of private company that even offer higher compensation.
With all plus points from other QL members, you must have basic 3 years work experience to join HMC,to get Licence locallt to practice with other private hospitals also you need experience.
Regarding salary do not compare back home at all.
I'm not quite so sanguine, I'm afraid. Generally you need 3 years clinical experience first to get a job as an RN here. And secondly the salary wouldn't be something you'd want to get out of bed for.

You speak English which is the first qualification which many nurses fail here.....
All you can do is apply to the various hospitals here. They always have vacancies but the salary will probably not to your liking...
Lots of opportunities for nurses here, goodluck! Also being on a husband visa is a big plus.
Don't worry. You will find a job in the main government hospital (HMC).
You will need some local authorizations/licenses, so you should bring all your qualification documents certified/attested, and you will need to write a test.
Good luck!
