Can anybody inform me whether there is any kind of Income tax applicable in the State of Qatar?
if yes, is it applicable for Companies only or individuals as well?

....Foreign businesses are taxed at 10% (except for certain gas and petroleum contracts) and a withholding tax regime, with rates ranging from 5% to 7%. However the Government may grant tax exemptions of up to six years, through the Tax Exemption Committee, to projects that provide social and economic benefits to the State of Qatar.
In addition to the above, Customs duties are generally levied at the rate of 5% on the import of goods into Qatar. Customs duties may be exempted under certain specified criteria.
There is currently no personal, sales or value added tax in Qatar.
there is no tax for individuals. but there is a tax for companies.....i dont know how much is he percentage.
i heard it is 20 % for the foreign companies.

No income tax, atleast I haven't paid any.
On second thoughts, my salary is so low that maybe it doesn't make it to the tax bracket :(
