Got my Visa ... but details are confusing

Hi,

I just got my visa, I think it is a work visa, as next to Visa Type it is written Work Visa- One Vist (no-i) : this is where I am confused, the duration is mentioned as 5 years, the purpose is mentioned as Visit and the Visa Type is work, so does it mean in five years I can only enter once and would that translate to one exit in 5 years???

Also the contract I signed on the companies letter head is only for a year, and would the ministry still issue a five year visa.

Thank You

this is your Work visa. You can use it for entry to Qatar only once. After that your Residence Permit must be issued without leaving Qatar.

Work visa is always given for 5 years (with the exception, when WV is issued for 2 years only).

Once you are in Qatar, your company will process your Residence permit, initially for 1 year (sometimes for 2 or maximum 3 years).

Your RP is renewable within these 5 years. Once 5 years are gone, to renew your RP they wil have to go again through the Labour Departent as if they issue new WV for you.

Anyway, don't worry. everything is all right.

If you have got your residence permit already, then the procedure is tough but can be done. if its the entry visa and still you are outside Qatar, then intimate your employer to change the profession on the entry visa and get it done, its very easy.

I just got my work visa from my company and the position is for secretary while it should be for manager. What do I do? Is there a way to change this? Please advise urgently. Thanks.

Nothing to worry. This is the format of Qatar Work Visa. Using this visa you will enter Qatar and then the resident visa formalities begin.

Everythinh Ok ! but did you notice the profession mentioned on the Visa? is it same profession you are going to work? because most of the companies here applying visa for with wrong profession. Sometime Labors will get Engineer profession and Engineer will get Cook profession....:):):)

NO issues. That 1 entry meant only before stamping your RP. After that u may come & go everyday.

This is a Visit Visa which allows you to enter Qatar and get a Work Visa while you are here. Has to be done within 3 months.
