Anyone out there into FSX or FS2004 ?
Would be nice to hear your thoughts on what system you are running, what settings work well for you, and what add ons you have (aircraft, scenery, utilities, etc...)
Cheers
i love to fly jets... boeing, airbus, learjet. i find learjet more fun to fly, very responsive and have an "executive" look. right now im practicing more on landing jets then maybe ill try to master navigation.
from time to time i fly choppers but its more challenging than jets. you always have to control your stick. in jets if your are tired in manual control you can put it in autopilot and just adjust the autothrottle and heading.
my expansion pack/add-ons im planning to get from the philippines during my vacation, its cheaper. i got the joystick from villaggio.
its good that your highend pc is almost complete, you will enjoy more realistic flights =)
do you have separate rudder pedals and throttle? where do you get them? my joystick can handle 3 functions but i think its more enjoyable to have separate joystick, rudder pedals, and throttle.
Yes Alvin, my specs very similar to yours, although I am running on desktop.
I have Dual core 1.86 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 256 MB graphics and windows vista. I too have my settings near the lowest and it just barely runs.
I am now however about a week away from finally assembling my high end gaming PC. I have been getting the components for it for four months now.
What type of aircraft do you like to fly ? Where are you getting your add ons from ?
i have FSX... still trying to learn the basics but I already bought a very good logitech joystick....during my vacation im trying to buy some addons for new missions..
im running on windows vista 32-bit... core2 duo... 3Gb ram... 256dedicated vid memory (im not sure)...
my graphics settings is somewhat in the lowest... video lags on higher settings...
i think its now time to replace my old laptop to enjoy the game more...
