Can anyone recommend good family accommodation in Phuket that's well located and not too expensive?

to Thailand three times. Fantastic place and lovely people.

I stayed in a place called the 'Secret Garden'. It is owned by a British man with his Thai wife. They offer bungalows around a garden. You can do what you want to do, and the place is just perfect for relaxing but what they specalise in is the wife teaching you Thai cooking.

Lovely couple who go out of their way to make you feel wanted and help you relax.

I can now make lovely authentic Thai food.

Sorry to sound like somebody from the Lonely Planet but this is a fantastic holiday destination.

Avoid Phuket though. Go to quieter places that are not ruined by us Brits and Ozzies lol x

"Phuket" and "Family" don't go well together...either this or that, man..

unless you stay in very expencive quite resort with everything inside ..then forget about "not too expensive" part.

otherwise, once you with your family step out of the hotel, all you will see is night clubs, massage weird places, transvestites offering their services, hot girls and a lot of half naked bodies..
