Qatar resident permit holder can stay out of the country?

Hi Guys, I have heard that there is a maximum period that the Qatar resident permit holder can stay out of the country? Is it still 6 months or something has changed? and what happens if the person stays outside the country for 6 or more?

yes sir you can extend for 6 more month,but you need to pay qa 500 in airport immigration.including some document end to some body under your sponsor.

YES,it is only for Wife and he kids (student)not for anyone else,u hve to fill the form at airport immigartion for 6month more extension but u hve to enter before it expires,if ur RP is valid for six month u hve to renew and then leave the country.Or u can inquire at airport immigartion dept.

Yes,till the time i know it's duration is 6months.Like i am student& i am out of the country & i visit qatar after each year(means within a year i have to step in) but before the completion of 6months,my big b,he submits my documents to the immigration office(airport branch)for the entension for more 6months.:)
