I worked in Qatar with a catering company for a period of about three and half years as a coordinator. Due to some situations back home I was compelled to go on an emergency leave . Eventhough i had a valid Residence Permit valid until May 2011; due to some unavoidable circumstance i could not return to Qatar. Now Its almost 23 months since i left Qatar.
Can i now return to Qatar with a new employer on a fresh visa or could it be possible that i would have been black listed. Any advise / help on the above query will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
did they tell you you are blacklisted? coz, it might posed a problem if they did. if not, then i think you can return after 7 months with a fresh visa. coz you see, even if your rp is valid till 2011 or more, your visa is automatically cancelled if you did not return to Qatar after 6 months.
Thanks Aracel for your kind advice. When i checked with My previous employer, they have closed my file as absconding. As i send my resignation from home country, they didn't accept it. So in this case, will it affect in granting fresh visa after seven months.
better ask your previous employer if they cancelled your visa right when you left coz if they did not, then the cancellation of your visa was made automatic 6 months after you had left qatar. if the latter's case is true, then you have to wait 7 months more before the 2- year ban can be lifted. of course if you have NOC then you can return anytime.
if you didn't formally resign or make arrangments with your company then they may have black listed you...best to contact your company and find out the status as they were your sponsor
No. Not until 2 years from when you visa was canceled.
It may be that your previous company did not cancel your RP on purpose and you might have to wait until May 2013
