I liked it. It wasn't as trashy and crappy as Garvey's and the music was usually good. Plus you could sit outside by the pool on a nice night. I had a lot of good times there and I miss it. All the bars now are crappy Lebanese infested "I'm trying so hard to be stylish yet failing miserably with my 80 QR watered down cocktails ((Yes Crystal I'm looking at you, you crappy piece of s***))"
a good place for expat..........nothing to compare with Sheraton, Intercon, Marriott etc etc. Was small, noisy and the workers were not gentle so was a good idea to demolished it.
johnjo, as you seem so eager to hear about Mr. Paul, he is in the UK.
And i have a life, a very nice one, thank you. Plus that phrase was "on" a few years ago in QL, it is rather dated now, get with the picture my friend.
Look, all in good humour , right? Just pulling your leg, really.
johnjo, I can't comment? LOL, really...try to stop me then...;)
And I assure you, I did not miss anything. I know very well what kind of a place it was. But hey, if you like that kind of thing, good for you. Each to their own. :)
Nomerci (a refined lady) didn't like Rydges (an establishment populated by rig pigs, Qater Airways Flying Mattresses and underage arab kids) and you think she actually MISSED something? lol
